White Chocolate Lemon Fudge
This recipe makes approximately 20 servings
Fudge is a type of caramel. The kind that melts in your mouth and takes any confectionery bowl or candy dish to the next level.
Lemon and white chocolate just go together, if you ask me. There's definitely something about the aroma of the lemon that suits the ultra-sweet white chocolate really well.
Here, the two old friends have come together in a soft and delicious fudge.
For a simple fudge, you can leave out the garnish.
White Chocolate Lemon Fudge
Preparation: >30 minutes Cooling Time 2 hours Total: > 2h. 30 minutes
Ingredients
This recipe makes approximately 20 servings
550 g white chocolate, I used W2 from Callebaut
50 g Gold chocolate for decoration (can be omitted)
zest from a washed, organic lemon
1 can of condensed milk (397 g)
50 g butter
garnish: *150 g seasonal chocolate, or your favorite + 50 g for topping - I like to use a mix of chocolate eggs and something with marzipan (can be skipped completely)
Method:
Put baking paper in a mold. Mine measures 21x21 cm. Put everything EXCEPT the garnish and topping in a saucepan. Heat it over low heat, stirring until the chocolate is melted. When the chocolate is melted, set a timer for 5 minutes and stir constantly. When the time is up, add the garnish. Pour the mixture into your mold. Press down slightly. Melt the Gold chocolate in the microwave (optional) and decorate the fudge with it. Sprinkle with decorations as you like. Cool completely, min. 2 hours, and cut into small bites.
Tips and storage:
〰️ The fudge will keep for at least 14 days in the fridge if you can wait that long to eat it.
〰️ The gold chocolate can be replaced with milk chocolate.
〰️ Decorate with exactly the chocolate you want. Or maybe a cute edible flower for a more summery look.
〰️ Replace the lemon zest with lime zest.
〰️ The fudge can be frozen.
